Named the "#1 Executive Golf Course in Orange County " by Southland Golf Magazine, Birch Hills is proudly managed by Billy Casper Golf.

Birch Hills is a wonderful Par-59 course with 13 par threes and 5 par fours. Greens and overall playing conditions are considered "the best ever" in the course's 35-year history, thanks to our outstanding team. The course has several magnificent scenic holes and is enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.

We have two six-hole putting greens where you can work on your skills and get a read on how the course will play. Our driving range, with 25 hitting positions, is available all daylight hours.Conveniently located just off 57 Freeway in Brea, Birch Hills is easily accessible from anywhere in Orange County.

This is a great chance to play golf with your partner in formats that don't penalize the high handicap golfer.

The Swingers have been playing couples golf at Birch Hills Golf Course for over 25 years . We have one tournament each month which takes place on a Sunday morning with the first tee time at 7:30am. The tournaments are almost always two or four person team events including, Play You Own Ball, Scrambles, Select Drives, Best Ball and are handicapped events. The group's handicaps range from a low of 7 to a high of 33, so this allows a level playing field for players of different skill levels.

We also play five or six optional away tournaments within easy driving distance. The cost to enter a local tournament is $10 per couple. This covers the prize fund which is 100% paid out in prizes. All we need for you to get started is your SCGA number or three scorecards from any course and if you don't have those, we'll work something out! Come join us for the fun!

Glow Ball

Glow Ball is a 9-hole shot gun held on the last Saturday night of each month. We use glow sticks to light up the golf course, tees, and greens. Golfers use glow balls instead of regular golf balls.

Before each event there is a BBQ dinner held with hamburgers, hot dogs,and all the fixings. Please contact the Golf Shop for more information.

Our teaching programs are specially designed to give you the skills which will increase your enjoyment of the game. It's the best value and easiest way to Get Into the Game!

Our professional teaching instructors have taught hundreds of students-all who love the game today. Classes are scheduled monthly and fill up quickly. Learn more about our instructors below!

Instructors

Rick Serling has been a teaching professional since 1997. His teaching practice focuses almost exclusively on Beginner, High-Handicap and Intermediate Golfers, accounting for 95% of his students.

He passed the PGA's Player Ability Test in 2003. His tutoring in golf instruction was under the guidance of Class A PGA instructor, Ken Kallestad, former Director of Instruction for the John Jacobs/Shelby Futch nationwide schools of instruction.

With a degree in Journalism he has written and published (4) total-photo, golf instruction books all created especially for Beginner-to-High Handicap golfers that mirror his golf lessons. The books are given to students as part of his lesson packages to use as a workbook assist with their lessons.

In addition, he uses a special high-speed camera to record and review students' swings and provides them picture follow-ups by email, to help them practice and learn.

James Kim recently joined Birch Hills Golf Course and has already developed a reputation for quickly and accurately diagnosing faults in the golf swing. He has recently qualified and enrolled into the PGA PGM program and is pursuing his dream of becoming a Master PGA Teaching Professional.

James has the ability to go after the underlying cause of the swing. So, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, James can prescribe the correct program that will help you reach your goals and play your best golf for the rest of your life.
